ULID Generator
Generate Universally Unique Lexicographically Sortable Identifiers (ULIDs). Create one ULID or a batch of up to 500, then copy or export your list as CSV or Excel.
Bulk ULID generator
Generate up to 500 ULIDs. Each identifier includes a millisecond timestamp and random component.
What is a ULID?
A ULID is a 128-bit identifier represented by 26 Crockford Base32 characters. Its first 48 bits encode a Unix timestamp in milliseconds, followed by 80 bits of randomness. This design makes ULIDs sortable by creation time when compared lexicographically.
ULID vs UUID
ULIDs are compact, use an uppercase alphanumeric alphabet, and sort by timestamp. UUIDs use a different standard format and have multiple versions, including random UUID v4 and time-ordered UUID v7. Choose the format your database and application expect.
Frequently asked questions
Are ULIDs guaranteed to be unique?
No identifier format can promise absolute uniqueness when random values are used. ULID collisions are extremely unlikely with proper random generation, but applications with strict requirements should still enforce uniqueness where identifiers are stored.
Can I export multiple ULIDs?
Yes. Generate up to 500 at a time and export the list as CSV or an Excel workbook. Processing happens in your browser; Excel export loads its spreadsheet library only when you request that format.
